This is actually an App that I wrote in 2003! I have been using it since Windows 2000 on every system that I have had.

Features:
* Self Installs (links) itself in to the SendTo menu
* You can browse for other folder, the app will remember them.
* You can also Drag and Drop files in to the file list box (left) and it will get added to the Que.
* You can choose to Copy a file, or to move it.
* You can choose to make a Short Cut, Add in "Shortcut to..." or to give the shortcut it's own special name.
* The app now inherits whatever Visual Style you may be using.

Once the app has been self-installed, you can use it in the SendTo menu to choose files to send to another folder.

I had to do a bit of re-writing, i had to update a bit of code to work with Windows XP and higher. I updated this app when I took my break from the Unicode translation system found in STR.

I dont know if anyone else will like this app, if not, oh well, if you do like it, then cool, glad that you like it!

Download : dA Direct Download.

NOTE: This will probably be my last app for a while.  I am just going through all of my old source, releasing whatever i think is useful.  I should have a new version of SysTray Recycler out in a few days with translations, but that should be it for a week or two.  Dont want to release alot then just fizzle out to nothing.

Google Chrome Beta users can now search just by saying "OK Google" into their headset or microphone and start speaking search query. To enable the feature, you’ll have to visit Google.com, click on the microphone icon, and hit “Enable Ok Google” as you can see in the screenshot above. Once you flip the switch, Google offers three examples of what you can do: perform searches (Ok Google, how many ounces are in a cup?), set a timer (Ok Google, set a timer for 30 minutes), and create a reminder for Google Now (Ok Google, remind me to pick up dessert at 6pm tonight).

Free Windows 8.1 with Bing?

fDFx4QE.png

Windows leaker WZOR has released some screenshots of a new Windows product edition, or SKU, called "Windows 8.1 with Bing". Windows 8.1 already includes Bing SmartSearch and most of Microsoft services by default but Mary Jo Foley who writes for ZDnet thinks the new SKU is key to Microsoft's experimentation with monetization.

In 2010, Microsoft charged PC makers only $2 per copy for Office Starter 2010 Edition if they also agreed to preload the Bing Bar and Windows Live Essentials. If a PC maker wanted Office Starter 2010 only, Microsoft charged $5 per copy for it. Now with competition with Google Chrome OS, it won't be surprising if Microsoft release a feature-limited free version of Windows 8.1 with Bing in the near future.

Paul Thurrott from WinSupersite thinks that Windows 8.1 with Bing could deliver a number of changes, however. This might include

  • No more disabling Bing
  • Ad-supported.
  • Windows RT only

Microsoft has released Windows 8.1 Update 1 (Spring Update) to manufacturing, according to Mary Jo Foley 's unnamed sources, as well as the known Windows leaker WZor who reports that the RTM build was compiled on February 21 and signed off on February 26. The expected launch date is launch on April 8.

Windows 8.1 Update 1 tweaks include a title bar at the top of Modern/Windows Store apps; new, right-clickable context menus; and the addition of power and search buttons on the Start Screen. Windows 8.1 Update 1 will have a smaller footprint (1 GB of RAM; 16 GB of storage), which will enable device makers to put Windows 8.1 with the update on smaller, cheaper tablets.

With Windows 8.1, the "boot to desktop" will be installed by default on new PCs/devices without touch screens. Users who are upgrading from Windows 8.1 to Windows 8.1 Update 1 who don't have boot to desktop set as their default already won't see their settings change to boot to default, according to WZor.

OnLine, the clould gaming service has launched CloudLift, an innovative new service that allows gamers to play download games they own via the cloud with instant access on PC/Mac, TV and Android tablets, anytime, and anywhere for a $14.99 monthly fee.

I think the monthly fee for already owned games is far too high. I'd play $5-$8 for CloudLift. What do you think?

Where Tahrs Live

I made this drawing for upcoming Ubuntu 14.04 operating system, alas, too late for official competition! The OS codename is "Trusty Tahr", and I originally wanted to draw a tahr, but instead I was inspired by a place where they live - Himalayan mountains. I used triangulation technique as a basis, but ended up painting over the "triangular grid" by hand. Thanks for watching!

How do you play PC games online?

I've been playing console games for over 20 years, but only recently got in to PC gaming. I don't know how to host a server and doubt my computer is even good enough to host a server. I've played a couple of MMO's which obviously I just had to connect to, but then I also play Minecraft where I have to rent a server. Surely you don't have to rent or set up a server for every game you want to play online? Do most games have their online modes ready like console games and I just haven't found any of those yet?

Crytek has announced native Linux support for its CryEngine. Linux support is another win for gamers wanting the industry to move its focus away from Windows. ;)

The new engine will also include the features that made Ryse: Son of Rome's creation possible, plus a new Physically Based Shading render pipeline. In Crytek's words, this means real-world physics simulation to create realistic lighting and materials.

Here's a screenshot of CryEngine 3. :D
