So I need to be honest, I am just not as motivated in developing mstex FOR NOW. It is starting to become cramped, featuritis is creeping in, and the app is slowing down.
So here is what I am doing. I am releasing the mstex source code and project files. Feel free to learn from them. Heck, you even have permission to re-use the code as needed, as long as i get some form of credit in whatever app you make.
This is not the end of development of mstex, it is just that it is not as fast or as good as i had hoped it to be, and as such, i am thinking of re-doing it again. Somehow.
I will be fully honest, if you are on Windows 8 and NEED a start menu replacement, use Stardock's Start8. As much as i hate and despise competing software (especially with my own apps) I use that software all the time now.
I also want to focus on doing a few Windows 8 apps, so I may work on those while taking a break from this.
Anyway, the file compressions is 7-zip's .7z. I removed every single bit of "Extra" files to have the smallest possible download. If the app complains of any missing files (if may for two files) just Exculde them from the project and everything should be ok.
Dependency files are in the folder named "deps". If it is missing any, copy then to the project folder\bin\release, then exit and re-start the project file.
IF YOU WANT TO TRY THE ABSOLUTE LATEST BUILD OF MSTEX...
Then you are in luck. go to (in the zip)
mstex2\bin\Release.
copy ALL of the release folder to another folder (i suggest make a new folder) on to your hdd. Run mstex. that should start up and run the app.
This app was made using Visual Studio 2012, it is .Net 4.5, and as such needs VS 2012 to be built. It was made on Windows 8. It may or may not work correctly with out a re-compile on other Windows OSes.

Have fun. Questions and comments are cool, but please remember, don't do 20 Questions on me about this app or such. I can handle a few questions per user, but some times some people do nothing but ask Questions forever about the source, and that just makes me want to STOP RELEASING SOURCE.
