Firefox's Australis interface is Mozilla's effort to unify the look of its web browser across platforms and device, from Android and Linux to OS X and Windows 8. The purpose of the redesign is to bring out the current active tab and create a "smooth and streamlined appearance." With an estimated release date for mid-February 2013, Firefox 19 is still a long way to go, but we should see the new looks in the first nightly build of this version, on October 9.
