Opera is going to shutdown it's Widgets and Unite services and shift its focus towards extensions.
Starting with the upcoming Opera 12 release, Opera Unite and Opera Widgets will be turned off by default for new users. The two Add-on platforms will be completely removed in a later release expected before the end of this year, according to Opera blog.
I never use these features. I think it's good that Opera team is shifting it's focus to more useful features.
