Microsoft is has officially unveiling the name for the next release of Windows. It's Windows 10!
Windows 10 will run across an incredibly broad set of devices – from the Internet of Things, to servers in enterprise datacenters worldwide. Some of these devices have 4 inch screens – some have 80 inch screens – and some don’t have screens at all. Some of these devices you hold in your hand, others are ten feet away. Some of these devices you primarily use touch/pen, others mouse/keyboard, others controller/gesture – and some devices can switch between input types.
Microsoft is not talking about the same Modern UI this time. It's one product family, with a tailored experience for each device, either handheld, tablet or desktop PC. And as you can see in the screenshot and the video embedded below, the start menu is back along with a lot of new features.
Availability: Windows 10 will be available late next year but Technical Previews of Windows 10 will be released tomorrow for the developers and enthusiasts, who can't wait to test the new Windows, via Microsoft's Windows Insider Program.
