The long awaited Start Menu will be available in a second update to Windows 8.1 which is currently scheduled for August according to The Verge. Microsoft’s Terry Myerson demonstrated an early version of the Start Menu earlier this month (screenshot above) at company's Build developer conference. The Start Menu looks like a hybrid of the old Windows 7 Start Menu mixed in with some Windows 8 Live Tiles along one side. The Metro part of the start menu can be expanded and more live tiles can be added to it.
