Intel and AMD both have plans to bring Windows and Android together on the same computer. The project is internally known as "Dual OS" bu Intel. Android will run inside of Windows using virtualization techniques and you can have Android and Windows apps side by side without rebooting your machine.
AMD on the other side just announced a partnership with BlueStacks to do the same thing more seamlessly. BlueStacks will run Android within Windows. Users will be able to launch Android apps from the Windows 8 Start Screen just like they were native Windows programs and search for new apps using Microsoft's own Windows 8 search charm.
