After launching 'Two-Step Authentication' a few months ago, Microsoft added three new security features to its Microsoft Account today which you use to signi into Microsoft's services like SkyDrive, Outlook.com and Windows 8.
Recent activity
This page displays successful and unsuccessful sign-ins, what kind of device and browser was used, and what location the request came from, including a map from Bing. If you see something suspicious, there's a "This wasn’t me" button for helping you to take steps to protect your account.
Recovery codes
Two-step verification setup requires two verified pieces of security information, like a phone number and email address, it will be a rare occasion when both options fail, but in the event they do, Microsoft got you covered.
More control of security notifications
This page gives you the ability to choose where you want to receive notifications for unusual sign-ins.
