Korea-based Samsung is planning to release a Tizen-powered TV as early as next year, tech site T3.com reported over the weekend.Quoting a report on German newspaper Die Welt, T3.com said Samsung plans to create an ecosystem where all its products may be linked together.“Tizen is going to be used on some of our smartphones just like on our TVs and on home appliances. This way we create an ecosystem in which we are able to connect all Samsung devices,” Samsung co-chief executive and head of Samsung consumer electronics business Boo-Keun Yoon said.He said this includes TVs, home appliances, and smartphones.Tizen, which claims to have big backers in the mobile industry, is a joint venture between Samsung and Intel.
