Microsoft lost a trademark case in UK last month and the company is now forced to rename its SkyDrive cloud storage service. The Verge reports that the name SkyDrive is owned by British Sky Broadcasting Group (BSkyB). The company will allow Microsoft to continue using the brand "for a reasonable period of time to allow for an orderly transition to a new brand."
The name change follows a similar European legal dispute with a German company Metro AG, where Microsoft agreed to stop using the term "Metro" for its Windows 8 user interface and applications.
