Microsoft will stop offering technical support for Windows XP from April 8 next year, exactly one year from today. But is the world ready? According to data released by Net Applications, Windows XP is currently installed on more than 38 percent of the computers worldwide and remains the second most popular operating system for desktop PCs. Windows 7 became the most popular desktop OS in September last year.

Windows XP was launched on October 25, 2001, over 11 years ago. Now Microsoft has finally decided that from April 8, 2014, Windows XP will not get any update or support.
