Microsoft has released security update KB2809289 for Internet Explorer which resolves eight privately reported vulnerabilities and one publicly disclosed vulnerability.
The most severe vulnerabilities could allow remote code execution if a user views a specially crafted Web page using Internet Explorer. An attacker who successfully exploited these vulnerabilities could gain the same user rights as the current user. Users whose accounts are configured to have fewer user rights on the system could be less impacted than users who operate with administrative user rights.
This security update is rated Critical for all the versions of Internet Explorer, including IE9 and IE10.
