I just got an email reminder from Microsoft that I must activate my free Windows 8 Media Center Pack product key by January 31, 2013.
Now I'm confused whether to activate it or not. I have two questions.
1) Can I later uninstall Windows Media Center Pack? I read somewhere that activating WMC will change my product key and my licence will change from Windows 8 Pro to Windows 8 Media Center Pack, or something like this. Is it true? 
2) Is WMC useful? I use VLC for playing my DVDs and I don't have any TV Tuner card.
