Windows 8 upgrade will be available for just $48, according to a scan of the Black Friday Tiger Direct newspaper ad posted at BFads.net. The only catch is that price will only be good for one hour, starting at 1 pm in Tiger Direct stores on Black Friday. So if you live near one of their stores, keep that in mind.
The scanned ad also shows that Tiger Direct will sell the OEM boxed version of Windows 8 for $79.99 in their stores for Black Friday, along with the OEM Windows 8 Pro version for $119.99. These prices are $20 off their normal levels. There is no real catch here; you just need to be in the store sometime during the Black Friday weekend.
